In this hands-on 3D Printing class, students will learn how to turn their ideas into real objects using beginner-friendly design software and 3D printers. From keychains and custom name tags to mini inventions and creative models, kids will explore how technology and creativity come together.

Students will learn:

  • The basics of 3D design and modeling
  • How 3D printers work
  • Problem-solving and design thinking skills
  • How to turn sketches into printable creations
  • Slicing software and general data & file management
  • Safe and responsible use of tech equipment

This class builds confidence in STEM skills while encouraging creativity, patience, and critical thinking. Whether your child loves art, engineering, gaming, or building things, 3D printing opens the door to innovation.

No experience needed — just curiosity and imagination!

 

The 3D Printing & Design Lab runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm with hands-on instruction in the STEM Lab for 2.5 hours every day. Campers are provided with breakfast and lunch and will join in The Zones' summer camp activities including art, sports, games, STEM activities and other scheduled programming outside of class time daily.
