Join Us After School for Basketball Camp, in Partnership with National Academy of Athletics
Players who want to grow their individual skills and team play will thrive in this camp. Each session focuses on fundamental basketball skills such as ball-handling, passing, footwork, movement, offense, defense, and layups. Skill-building drills are combined with fun games, challenges, and small-sided competitions to keep players active and engaged.
Basketball is a great way to teach kids the value of teamwork, effort, resilience, and sportsmanship, including how to win and lose with confidence and respect. Most importantly, kids will play hard, build confidence, and have fun every session.
Week 1: Introduction to Basketball – Rules, court layout, safety, basic ball control
Week 2: Dribbling Fundamentals – Athletic stance, fingertip control, eyes up
Week 3: Passing Fundamentals – Chest pass, bounce pass, spacing, catching
Week 4: Shooting Basics – Proper grip, B.E.E.F. shooting form, short-range shots
Week 5: Dribbling + Passing Combo – Dribble moves into passing, movement, teamwork
Week 6: Layups (Intro) – Footwork, right- and left-hand layups
Week 7: Defense Basics – Defensive stance, sliding, guarding the ball
Week 8: Game Play & Review – Scrimmages, offensive spacing, review of all skills
