Each year, we honor a youth in our community with the Casey Williams Youth of the Year Award. The award is given to individuals who display a positive attitude and friendship toward their peers, and who demonstrate leadership and a desire to give back to their community.
2022 Recipient: Andria Lewis
2023 Recipient: Nash Medders
Casey is a Boys & Girls Club of Greater Santa Rosa (BGCSR) alumnus and was recognized as Youth of Month when he attended in the 1980’s. Participating in after-school programs had a profound impact on Casey and he is now one of its biggest local advocates. A comedian, event producer, and owner of Barrel Proof Lounge, Casey was a key partner and thought-leader in BGCSR’s evolution into The Zones in 2023 as a member of its Board of Directors.
